  • What services do we provide?
Empowering Support Services Ltd is a Care Quality Commission (CQC) registered care provider, meaning we are fully regulated to deliver high-quality, safe care services. We are authorised to administer medication and provide personal care to individuals in need. What sets us apart is our unique approach to care. As one of the few care providers committed to supporting individuals in their community, we facilitate various activities, including day trips, healthcare appointments, and social engagements. In addition to personal care, our services encompass daily household tasks such as cooking, cleaning, waste management, and other domestic responsibilities. Our goal is to promote independence, enhance well-being, and ensure that every individual receives the comprehensive care they deserve.
  • What areas do we cover?
Barming, Ditton, Larkfield, Aylesford, East Peckham, Maidstone, Lenham, Harrietsham, East Malling, West malling, Kings hill, Leybourne, Snodland, Halling, Penenden Heath, Allington, Tovil, East farleigh and Yalding - Please enquire if you are out of the catchment zone
  • Are your care givers experienced, trained and certified?
At Empowering Support Services Ltd, our caregivers are trained and certified to the highest standards as outlined by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Each member of our dedicated team undergoes a thorough DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check, which includes a comprehensive review of any criminal history. This ensures that our staff are not only qualified but also trustworthy and safe to work within the care environment. In addition to meeting the CQC’s rigorous standards, we provide specialized training tailored to the specific needs of our clients. For example, we offer extra training in areas such as mental health, dementia care, and support for individuals with newly identified disabilities, ensuring we provide the most effective and compassionate care possible.
  • How much does care cost?
The cost of home care in the UK can vary widely depending on a range of factors, such as the level of care required, the location, and whether the care is provided on a part-time or full-time basis. The average cost of home care in the UK is as follows; Hourly rates for care: In the UK, home care services typically cost between £25 and £35 per hour. Rates can be higher in London and the South East, where the cost of living is higher. Daily visits: For shorter visits (e.g., a 30-minute visit), the cost is typically in the range of £20 to £25 per visit, depending on location and service. Specialist care (e.g., dementia, palliative care): Specialist care may come at a premium, with rates often starting at £30 to £40 per hour depending on the complexity of care needed. Additional costs: Some agencies may charge extra for administrative costs, travel, or weekend/holiday care. It’s important to note that local authorities may offer financial assistance for eligible individuals through means-tested assessments. Private funding options, as well as possible funding through insurance, can also affect the final cost. Empowering Support Services Ltd rates start at £22 dependent upon needs and assessment. Our rates always included a set time and not a "half hour window" which sets us aside from other care providers.
  • Do you offer specialised care for conditions like dementia or learning disabilities?
Empowering Support Services Ltd has extensive experience in supporting individuals with a diverse range of disabilities, including dementia, neurological disorders, and mental health conditions. Our caregivers are trained to national standards, ensuring that they possess the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver the highest quality care. What truly sets us apart is our person-centred approach. We recognise that every individual has unique needs, preferences, and goals, and we tailor our care accordingly. Our experienced team works closely with each person to provide support that is both compassionate and effective, fostering independence and improving overall well-being.
  • My family member is hesitant to accept care; how should we proceed?
At Empowering Support Services Ltd, we often receive calls from concerned family members who are worried about their parents or grandparents needing support, but who are initially resistant to accepting care. It's important to recognise that this reluctance is a normal part of the process. Accepting care is a significant decision, and individuals have the right to decline support if they have the capacity to make that decision under the Mental Capacity Act 2005. We understand the challenges this can pose, which is why we work closely with families to ensure the process is as smooth and comfortable as possible. Our approach focuses on building meaningful, trusting relationships with our clients. Rather than overwhelming your loved one with multiple carers, we make a commitment to consistency. We ensure that the same carer visits until your loved one feels comfortable, and only then will we gradually introduce additional carers—one at a time—so they can build relationships at their own pace.
